The picture is very realistic and is very texturized. Its successful because if someone who has never seen a textured leaf photo like this they can get a great idea of what it would look like.
Your grass image has a nice composition. You got down to the level of the grass and the contrasting blues and greens really stand out. I would have moved in a little closer to see more of the textures.
